The New Digital Renewal
The state of Colorado has recently changed the medical marijuana renewal process to a digital arrangement, which works to save on wait times and to decrease the paperwork necessary for applying for the card. In order to renew your card, you must now create an account online with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. Once you’ve created this account, you can log in and fill in the required information to renew.
After you’ve gotten your renewal evaluation from your doctor, you will need to upload your doctor’s new recommendation into the system. If you go to a clinic or marijuana doctor’s office for renewal, they can help you through this step. You’ll be charged by the doctor for the evaluation, and then will also be charged $25 by the state for processing your renewal.
